About the workshop

Create a beautiful "Gita Upadesh On The Occasion Of Guru Purnima" in Madhubani painting. Learn from our native master artist, Ms. Hema Devi, a national award-winning artist from Bihar. She will teach the techniques and motifs of the art form and help you create a beautiful painting characterized by its bold colours and intricate designs.

Madhubani Painting - Madhubani painting, originating from Bihar, India, is a traditional folk art known for its vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Artists use natural dyes and depict Hindu mythology, nature, and daily life scenes. The paintings often feature bold outlines and geometric shapes, creating a unique and visually striking style. Madhubani art has gained international recognition for its cultural richness and storytelling through vivid visuals.

Gita Upadesh On The Occasion Of Guru Purnima: This Madhubani painting illustrates a pivotal moment from the Gita Upadesh, where Lord Krishna imparts profound spiritual wisdom to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Krishna, depicted with his characteristic blue skin, is shown guiding Arjuna, who is seated in the chariot, through his teachings on dharma, karma, and the nature of reality. The chariot, drawn by symbolic white horses, represents the journey of life and the senses. The vibrant colors and intricate patterns characteristic of Madhubani art serve to bring this significant philosophical dialogue to life, highlighting the divine guidance offered amidst worldly conflict. The inclusion of celestial elements, such as the sun, further emphasizes the cosmic significance of Krishna's teachings.
