Kerala Mural paintings are the frescos depicting mythology and legends, which are drawn on the walls of temples and churches in South India from 8th century. This art has overcome the ravages of civilization and time - an authentic Kerala Mural Art is to be treasured for a lifetime as a symbol of natural beauty, grace, elegance and pious devotion.
In this workshop, we will be painting a Jalpari, in Kerala Mural Style.
In Indian folk belief, the is a water spirit who compels men to cohabit with her, although she may also kill them when she catches them. It is possible to appease her by leaving offerings of flowers or a lamb on the banks of the river in which she lives.
This artwork is finished in 10 modules of 1.5 hours each and you can pace yourself depending on your skill and experience in sketching, detailing and coloring. Enjoy the making of the artwork and indulge in bringing your personal creations and customization to the artwork.
