About the Workshop
Create a traditional-style Kerala Mural of ‘Makhan Chor Krishna’ with master native artist Mr. Saju M.P. He will take you through the process of creating this beautiful painting using the right traditional motifs and techniques.
Makhan Chor Krishna: This painting depicts Bala Krishna, the child form of Lord Krishna, in the traditional Kerala mural art style. He is shown with a mischievous smile, enjoying butter, which symbolizes his playful nature as the "Makhan Chor". The blue skin signifies his divine origin, while the peacock feather in his hair is a signature element of Krishna’s iconography. The intricate golden ornaments and detailed patterns reflect the richness of Kerala's mural tradition. The artwork beautifully captures both the innocence and divinity of young Krishna.
