In this painting, Meera Bai is depicted in a traditional Indian style, Kerala mural painting. She is shown dancing gracefully, her body adorned with intricate jewellery. She is holding a veena, a traditional Indian string instrument, which she used to accompany her bhajans. The peacock feathers surrounding her symbolize her devotion to Krishna, as the peacock is considered a sacred bird associated with the deity.

About the Master Artist
Mr. Saju.M.P. comes from a lineage of Kerala Mural artists. His work can be seen in the temples (Guruvayoor) and churches of Kerala. He is also actively involved in restoration work of Kerala Murals to preserve this heritage art.
