In this workshop we're going to do painting of "Shiv Pariwar - Sawan Special " with master native artist Mr. Saju M.P


"Shiv Pariwar" depicts Lord Shiva along with his family in Kerala mural art. This includes Lord Shiva, his consort Parvati, and their children Ganesha and Kartikeya. The murals often portray the family in a serene and divine setting, surrounded by symbols of their significance in Hindu mythology. Vibrant colors and intricate details bring out the spiritual essence of the scene. These artworks are cherished for their portrayal of devotion and familial love within the context of religious reverence.


This artwork is finished in 12 modules of 1.5 hours each and you can pace yourself depending on your skill and experience in sketching, detailing and coloring. Enjoy the making of the artwork and indulge in bringing your personal creations and customization to the artwork.

Module 1 : Washing ornaments and some parts of dresses and Ganesh's body
Module 2 : Giving of the 2nd coat of the base color and Starting of the Outlining with three-colour mixture of red or Indian red
Module 3 : Completing outlining work of Red
Module 4 : Washing and Shading
Module 5 : Completing of Shading work on God-Goddess's body
Module 6 : Washing and Shading
Module 7 : Sketching and washing of leaves
Module 8 : Shading and detailing
Module 9 : Completing background and Continuing Shading and Detailing
Module 10 :  Completing the detailing and starting "Muzhukkidal" or "Muricidal
Module 11: Continuing of the "Muzhukkidal" or "Muricidal process
Module 12: Finishing up with "Muricidal using black outlining and Complete the painting

  • Pencils / Eraser / Sharpener
  • Black colour Pen / Thin marker
  • Acrylic colors - Indian red, Scarlet Lake, Vermilion hue, Pression blue, Black, White, Yellow ochre, Permanent yellow medium, Sap green, Olive green, Burnt umber, Burnt Sienna
